This spa, about 17km southwest of Krapina and 46km northwest of Zagreb, is beautifully located in the Zagorje countryside. The complex has four outdoor thermal pools rich in minerals and never below 39 degree Celsius. There are also six indoor pools and a sports complex, which makes the centre attractive to those looking for relaxation as well as medical treatment and rehabilitation.
The bus station is in the centre of town, a short walk from most facilities and the tourist office.
The Hotel Aquae Vivae has a section for patients and one for visitors but all rooms are comfortable. The room rates include the use of outdoor and indoor swimming pools and the fitness centre, but there are also more expensive rooms that have TV and phone. Half and full board are also available. The spa is well connected to Zagreb by bus.
